Oigawa Railway

The Oigawa Railway is a railway company in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, which first opened in 1927. The company is commonly known as “Daitetsu”. The company operates preserved steam locomotives. Because of its historical rolling stock and the picturesque scenery, the Oigawa Main Line is often used for shooting films or TV programs, especially those set in the pre-war period.

Day Tour Itinerary

08:30 – Meet at the west exit of Nagoya Station/next to McDonald’s in Esca Underground Shopping Mall
Take the train to Shinkanaya Station
Board the Oigawa Railway SL train.
Kayama Station (disembark and enjoy a leisurely walk through the Cherry Blossom Tunnel).
KADODE OIGAWA (self-service lunch, approximately 60 minutes/shopping).
Horai-bashi Bridge
Greenpia Makinohara (free visit/shopping)
19:40 – Disband at Nagoya Station.

1-Day Tour Terms and Conditions:

  1. Please arrive at the designated meeting point 20 minutes prior to departure. The tour bus will depart on time, and participants who arrive late must arrange their own transportation to catch up with the group. Any responsibility and expenses incurred will be borne by the participants, and our company shall not be held liable.
  2. In the event that the number of participants does not meet the minimum requirement for the tour, the itinerary will be canceled. A cancellation email will be sent 14 days prior to the departure date.
  3. This itinerary only provides Japanese language guidance. Please note that all information provided by the guide during the trip will be in Japanese. However, to ensure a smooth and safe journey, we will provide as much information as possible through translation applications (meeting point, departure time, etc.).
  4. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from Kayama Station to the Cherry Blossom Tunnel. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
  5. The itinerary may be subject to changes due to reservations with the Oigawa Railway.
  6. The Oigawa Railway SL train has assigned seating. You may be seated with other customers. Customers with odd numbers may be seated together.
  7. The best viewing time for cherry blossoms may vary depending on the weather. Please note that even if you cancel your reservation due to cherry blossom blooming, the applicable cancellation fee will be charged.
  8. The return time may be subject to delays due to road conditions or other factors.
  9. The travel cost for children aged 3 and above is the same as adults (including bus seats/meals).
  10. Children under 2 years old can participate for free (bus seat/not including meals).

  1. Booking within 7 days departure is not accepted.
  2. The package price quotation is based on two travelers sharing one room.
  3. The quotation prices are calculated based on the lowest price of hotels and surcharges of the day. The actual prices may subject to change without prior notice. All prices, taxes, surcharges and availabilities quoted by Club Travel’s consultant are for reference only and are subject to final confirmation at the time of booking.
  4. The room that has been booked must be checked in within the specified date, otherwise it will be invalid.
  5. The check-in guest must be at least 18 years of age. The hotel requires the guest to pay a deposit or present a credit card upon check in.
  6. Once the products are confirmed, they cannot be changed, cancelled, rescheduled or refunded. This package is not transferrable, and cannot be resold, otherwise the confirmation will be voided. Due to the uncertain situation of Covid-19, all arrangement including but not limited to hotels are subject to Terms and Conditions of the service provider in response to the latest situation. 
  7. The offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers, discounts or cash coupons. 
  8. Designated package prices are only applicable two adults travelling together. All itineraries must be the same. All accompanying guests must book together.

  10. Please check all personal and itinerary information each time you receive an itinerary quotation or confirmation, including but not limited to hotel check-in slips, tickets or other travel vouchers.
  11. When you reserve a build-a-tour, please provide to the Club Travel consultant with all guests’ full names in English on the valid travel documents for arrangement of reservations.
